i am beyond excited to be fortunate enough to have one of my weddings featured on Martha Stewart Weddings! Ben and Crystal’s wedding was one of my absolute favorite weddings to date. Not only were they an amazing couple to work with but Crystal’s creativity, artful nature and attention to details were simply amazing. I adore when couples think outside the box to create the wedding of their dreams. Truly humbled and honored to have my images featured on such an amazing publication in the wedding and creative industry!
.with a few spring weddings for this year done – this amazing wedding with Jessica & Tom from this past weekend officially kicks off the 2013 wedding season – here’s to a great one and i am sooooo excited to be working with all the amazing couples who were so kind as to choose me to capture their wedding day! much love !
.i absolutely love the chance to shoot winter weddings – here in upstate NY they are a bit few and far between given the climate this time of year – but I always get excited when one comes my way! These are some details shots from Amy & Paul’s wedding at Saratoga National Golf Course in December. The flowers and reception space were designed by the amazing David Michael Schmidt of Renaissance Floral Design – his work and attention to detail never ceases to amaze me and it is always such a pleasure working with him. Thank you for taking the time to stop by and peruse my images – there are many more on the way :)
. i had the amazing pleasure to shoot Brittany & Roberts engagement session this weekend at the Glorie Farm Winery in Marlboro, NY. It was a beautiful two hour drive south on Sunday – i love to travel so it was a great little day trip :) Brittany and Rob will be getting married in September in Ulster county and I am so looking forward to shooting thier wedding. Brittany was able to find this amazing vineyard for their engagement shoot. Filled with grapes and orchards full of peaches, pears and apples nestled atop a hill overlooking the Hudson Valley – it was a dream location to shoot – and with an amazing couple, the perfect afternoon :) Glorie Farm was also just featured on the cover of the recent Hudson Valley Magazine. Below are the images from our session – i hope that you enjoy looking through them and thank you so much for taking the time to stop by. Thank you Glorie Farm for letting us use your amazing and romatic location for our shoot and thank you Brittany and Robert – i had such an amazing afternoon with you both and it was such a joy to watch and capture the two of you interact and have fun with each other during our session – i can’t wait until September ♥

.every now and then i have the opportunity to photograph some truly unique weddings. all of the weddings i photograph are beautiful, but occasionally there are some couples that just think outside the box. Crystal is truly a creative soul and poured her heart into crafting a wedding that was truly unique to her and Ben’s persona and love. they also had an unique engagement – Ben proposed to Crystal on the Martha Stewart show on an episode on which she was a special guest – you can see it HERE ♥. the wedding was held on Crystal’s family dairy farm in Saratoga County, and despite the rain, that held off for just for the right amount of time for their outdoor ceremony, the day was perfect. Here is part one of their images – detail shots and portraits - this is a longer post than usual but I love so many of their images it was so hard to decide what to post. Stay tuned to tomorrow to see the images of their amazing ceremony and reception! Thank you so much Crystal and Ben for choosing me to work with – you created magic on your wedding day and it was my privilage to capture it for you :)

. i have had the pleausre of working with the Magdon-Ismail family on several occasions and was so excited when they contacted me again to photograph the newest addition to thier family of three boys – thier beautiful new baby girl. It is always such a pleasure working with this family – and i was so pleased to see upon walking into their home, photos I have taken from previous sessions framed on thier walls – there is no better feeling for a photographer than this – being a part of the lives of the clients you work with and capturing the memories that they make, it truly means so much to me. Thank you so much to the Magdon-Ismail family for continually allowing me the privilage of working with you can capturing your beautiful family memories. i hope that you enjoy viewing these images as much as i did taking them ♥

.here is a quick sneak peek of some images from my friend Karl’s wedding last year. Karl was my best friend growing up and I was so honored that he and his wife Sara chose me to photograph their wedding. More to come :)
. last weekend i took myself on a peaceful little walk in the woods – it was a gorgeous winter day, a bit on the blustery side, but the lightly falling snow made it worth getting bundled and layered to venture outdoors. one thing i have learned this winter about photographing outdoors is slowing down – though wide landscape and environmental shots can be nice, especially with the contrast of the light snow and darker trees, such shots can get a little repetitive as winter offers a sparser canvas to work with – slowing down to notice the little details of a winter landscape can bring a whole new world of beauty and appreciation for this season – one i hope that carries over into the next. much love ♥.
.a few weekends ago i thankfully had time to take my little pixie on a nature walk to marvel at the beautiful colors of autumn, collect rocks and leaves and leave offerings to the fairies :) here are some shots we took on our little journey – as you can see she is a photographers daughter … i didn’t even have to ask her to pose ;)
Here is a quick sneak peek of an engagement session I did last month with Radhika & Priyavadan. They are getting married later this year :) More to come, I love the images we created together and can’t wait to share more with you!
.i love, love, love that Jessica and Ryan went with their personal style for their intimate wedding in Albany this past April. I am a fan of the non traditional approach to traditional things and Jessica and Ryan rocked it out :) before their ceremony we had some time to shoot down in Albany’s Empire State Plaza and on Lark Street where they got married at the very swank Wine Bar on Lark. Here are some of the images we made together. Thank you Jessica and Ryan – you guys are awesome and I wish you both the best!

These are just a few of my favorites from the 2009 wedding season and a little taste of some posts to come. Hope you enjoy the images and have a wonderful weekend! I will be back next week with some more fun posts. Cheers!
So when I am not shooting weddings, one of my personal photography passions is shooting bands and performers. I love the excitment, colors and chaos of entertainment photography, and in the off season it is something that I truly enjoy shooting when I get the opportunity.
Enter The Haggis came to Revolution Hall back in December and Brian from ETH gave me the opportunity to shoot the show at Revolution Hall. ETH is a bunch of extremely talented and great guys and their music is so fun and engergetic and I am looking forward to their show at The Parting Glass in Saratoga Springs on March 4th – if you are local be sure to come on out to the show! They are also going to be at Irish 2000 in September so be sure to check them out. You can view thier website : Enter The Haggis, become a friend on Facebook and also follow them on Twitter. And if you are a fan, or soon to be one – they are coming out with a new iPhone app – be sure to check out updates on the app and stay in the know by visiting the ETHapp page on Twitter.
Here are a few images from the show that were some of my favorites, you can see more images from the show in the slideshow below as well. I have a ton of posts coming for next week and that you all for stopping by, leaving some comment love and for your kind compliments regarding my work. Have a great weekend! Slainte!
Backstage in the Green Room. One of the band members was MIA so Elvis was kind enough to step in for the shot :) And the muti-talented Sarah King was kind enough to take the shot! :)
Here are more images from the evening! I hope you enjoy browsing through them. Revolution Hall does an awesome job with their lighting I must say!
i had such a hard time choosing images to post from this wedding! Jessie and Jesse (how cute is that :) found me online, and I was so happy when they booked me for their wedding. They were married in May 2009 at the Round Hill House in Washingtonville, NY – a truly beautiful and unique wedding venue. It was such a pleaure spending the day with them and I wish them much love and laughter throughout their marriage :) As you can see in the following images, their wedding day was filled with lots of both love and a ton of laughter!
i LOVED their Tiffany & Co. wedding bands! So classic!
i just love his reaction when Jesse sees Jessie in her dress for the firs time- this is why I just love first sightings :)
Jessie works for Liz Claiborne and Tim Gunn from Project Runway was planning coming into their office to do a questions and answer session. Her question was regarding what shoes that guys should wear with thier wedding attire. This was her little way of saying thank you to Tim Gunn for the advice :)
I love that group shot. One of my favorites of the day!
I loved their Kate Spade cake cutter and champagne flutes! i Just loved how they added little designer touches to their wedding!
Congrats again Jessie & Jesse! Thank you for choosing me to capture your beautiful wedding!
Life has been crazy here these past few weeks, between 2 wedding weekends and a 3 wedding weekend thrown in for good measure, and FINALLY moving (later this week :)!, my poor blog has paid the price. But I woke up to the most wonderful surprise in my inbox this morning that I had to blog about immediately. One of my fabulous brides, Petra, whose amazing wedding I photographed last week in Mt . Tremper, NY – is a beauty editor with Glamour magazine, and she posted a pic from my Troy Trash The Dress Session with Laura and Matt on the Glamour magazine blog. What a nice thing to wake up to on a Monday morning! Thank you Petra – it was such a pleasure working with you! And ladies…be sure to check out her contributing articles on the Glamour blog, I visit the site religiously :)
Finally some new pics to post! I am in the midst of a busy wedding season and trying to finalize the sale of our home and purchase of a new one, moving and finding some time to spend with my family. Needless to say, it has been a very hectic two months, which i hope will calm down, in a good way, in a few weeks.
Anyway, here are some more pics from the Trash The Dress session with Laura and Matt in Troy back in May. I addition to Laura & Matt, I want to thank the following people involved in the shoot:
.i know, i know, i am a horrible blogger – but i have good reason. besides an extremely busy wedding season, i recently had a bit of time off to go on a mini vacation with my family. we took the kids to the ocean for the first time and it was simply marvelous to see them have so much fun, and to take a bit of a break before getting back into the season of wedded bliss. we also FINALLY sold our house, found a new one and are in the midst of the chaos that is real estate. i’d love to tell you more about it all, but i am afraid i will jinx it…so until all is said and done you will have to wait to hear/see the details about that bit of news.
.i am getting ready for a wedding in Utica, NY tomorrow – so i must bid adieu for this evening, but before i go i leave you with a link to an interview i was asked to do for PhotographySilo.com. have a great weekend everyone, i will back back next week with some new images for you to check out. *pinky swear* :)
thanks Lawrence for the opportunity to share with you and your readers! :)
here is a quick peek of a Trash The Dress session i did this Spring. I’ll be posting more from this uber fun session, along with more details from the session during the week. i am working on editing and getting out client photos, so i apologize for my absence here, but have a TON of blog posts planned and am looking forward to a tiny bit of free time in July, so be prepared to be inundated with bloggy goodness! hope you all are having an awesome summer!
