.Enter The Haggis – Revolution Hall – Troy, NY :: Music & Entertainment Photography

So when I am not shooting weddings, one of my personal photography passions is shooting bands and performers.  I love the excitment, colors and chaos of entertainment photography, and in the off season it is something that I truly enjoy shooting when I get the opportunity.

Enter The Haggis came to Revolution Hall back in December and Brian from ETH gave me the opportunity to shoot the show at Revolution Hall.  ETH is a bunch of extremely talented and great guys and their music is so fun and engergetic and I am looking forward to their show at The Parting Glass in Saratoga Springs on March 4th – if you are local be sure to come on out to the show!  They are also going to be at Irish 2000 in September so be sure to check them out.  You can view thier website : Enter The Haggis, become a friend on Facebook and also follow them on Twitter.  And if you are a fan, or soon to be one – they are coming out with a new iPhone app – be sure to check out updates on the app and stay in the know by visiting the ETHapp page on Twitter.

Here are a few images from the show that were some of my favorites, you can see more images from the show in the slideshow below as well.  I have a ton of posts coming for next week and that you all for stopping by, leaving some comment love and for your kind compliments regarding my work.  Have a great weekend! Slainte!

Backstage in the Green Room. One of the band members was MIA so Elvis was kind enough to step in for the shot :) And the muti-talented Sarah King was kind enough to take the shot! :)

Here are more images from the evening! I hope you enjoy browsing through them.  Revolution Hall does an awesome job with their lighting I must say!

      Jessie & Jesse – A Hudson Valley Wedding – Washingtonville, NY :: May 2009

i had such a hard time choosing images to post from this wedding!  Jessie and Jesse  (how cute is that :) found me online, and I was so happy when they booked me for their wedding.  They were married in May 2009 at the Round Hill House in Washingtonville, NY – a truly beautiful and unique wedding venue.  It was such a pleaure spending the day with them and I wish them much love and laughter throughout their marriage :) As you can see in the following images, their wedding day was filled with lots of both love and a ton of laughter!

i LOVED their Tiffany & Co. wedding bands! So classic!

i just love his reaction when Jesse sees Jessie in her dress for the firs time- this is why I just love first sightings :)

Jessie works for Liz Claiborne and Tim Gunn from Project Runway was planning coming into their office to do a questions and answer session. Her question was regarding what shoes that guys should wear with thier wedding attire.  This was her little way of saying thank you to Tim Gunn for the advice :)

I love that group shot. One of my favorites of the day!

I loved their Kate Spade cake cutter and champagne flutes! i Just loved how they added little designer touches to their wedding!

Congrats again Jessie & Jesse! Thank you for choosing me to capture your beautiful wedding!

      Glamour Baby! Glamour! :)

Life has been crazy here these past few weeks, between 2 wedding weekends and a 3 wedding weekend thrown in for good measure, and FINALLY moving (later this week :)!, my poor blog has paid the price.  But I woke up to the most wonderful surprise in my inbox this morning that I had to blog about immediately.  One of my fabulous brides, Petra, whose amazing wedding I photographed last week in Mt . Tremper, NY – is a beauty editor with Glamour magazine, and she posted a pic from my Troy Trash The Dress Session with Laura and Matt on the Glamour magazine blog. What a nice thing to wake up to on a Monday morning!  Thank you Petra – it was such a pleasure working with you! And ladies…be sure to check out her contributing articles on the Glamour blog, I visit the site religiously :)

P.S. – Thank you again to Laura for looking fabulous and to Tina Commisso Barbato

      .yes, i am still alive…

.i know, i know, i am a horrible blogger – but i have good reason.  besides an extremely busy wedding season, i recently had a bit of time off to go on a mini vacation with my family.  we took the kids to the ocean for the first time and it was simply marvelous to see them have so much fun, and to take a bit of a break before getting back into the season of wedded bliss.  we also FINALLY sold our house, found a new one and are in the midst of the chaos that is real estate.  i’d love to tell you more about it all, but i am afraid i will jinx it…so until all is said and done you will have to wait to hear/see the details about that bit of news.

.i am getting ready for a wedding in Utica, NY tomorrow – so i must bid adieu for this evening, but before i go i leave you with a link to an interview i was asked to do for PhotographySilo.com.  have a great weekend everyone, i will back back next week with some new images for you to check out. *pinky swear* :)

.jerry & erin – 05.02.09 :: Utica, NY Wedding Photography

Hey everyone!  yes, i am alive and well just uber busy photographing and editing everything from weddings, boudoir, family sessions and parties.  i have a TON of new work to share with you all and hope to find more time in the coming weeks to post more often.  but here is a session that i have been truly looking forward to sharing…

.jerry and erin brought it big time earlier last month at their wedding in Utica.  the ceremony was at Our Lady of Lourde’s Church just outside of downtown Utica – after the ceremony we had nearly 3 hours…yes you heard that right…3 hours of photography time with the bride, groom and bridal party.  regardless of how much time you set aside for your photographs, you should feel confident that your photographer is going to capture beautiful images of your wedding day and the important people you have chosen to involve, but something truly magical happens when you allot a good chunk of time for images, if not of your bridal party group, atleast for pictures of you and your sigificant other…more on this in another post…

…back to erin and jerry, following our awesome shooting excursion throughout downtown Utica, we headed to Valley View Country Club for thier wonderful reception.  below are my favorite images from the day.  i really have a ton i could post here, but i had to be selective.  i’ll be setting up a slideshow page soon so you can view more images from their day.  thank you again Jerry & Erin, it was truly a pleasure to work with with you and to be able to capture the memories of your wedding day!

Can you tell Erin and her sister are twins :)
