Post Processing: Testing some new ACR presets this one is called “This Way”

Well, here is my entry for SPC this week. This shot was taken behind my garage in my organic garden.  All of my herbs and veggies are sprouting like crazy, i can’t wait to snack on thier organic goodness :)

Still working like crazy o my photography and such and having a lot of fun developing ACR presets, actions and some new photography packs i hope to have out soon.

Playing around with my new Canon 430EX flash…this was taken in an almost completely dark room…gotta love bounce flashes ;) The post processing was done using my ACR Rawganic presets (Thunderstorm) and my Cross Process Action #1.  Have an awesome weekend!

So it has been forever since I have posted a pic up on SPC or PhotoFriday, but this experiment seemed to fit the bill of this month’s theme so i though..why not.  My absence here and my lack of posting new items on my site has been threefold.  Since the arrival of fabulously warm weather I have found myself more outdoors, running around with my family than stationed behind my desk and computer screen.  When I do find myself here, I am usually deeply involved in learning more about the technical aspects of photography and post processing photos in Photoshop.  Oh, and creating photoshop actions to better manage my workflow and help other photographers too by giving them a starting point to do the same.  I have loved seeing the photos with my actions applied taken by other amazing photographers…it really gets my creative juices flowing to learn and create more to help others add an artistic edge to their work.  I’ve got some exciting new things in Photoshop I have been working on…but i’ll save that for a later post….i’ve learned not to jump the gun on release dates for new creations :)

But anyway, it is my short & long term goal to start a professional photography business, and though I feel I could take some darn good pictures now should the need and opportunity arise, I know the more I learn the better I will become.  So lately my passion has been found behind the lens.  I am still trying to work on other forms of art when the urge hits…my art journal for example has kept me anchored to my mixed media roots while at the same time incorporating my re-discovered love of photography. 

I’m thinking for the summer of turning this blog into a photoblog of sorts.  I havent had the time to write so much here and I see that people do visit regularily to see whats up…i hate not posting on a regular basis and finding the time to write an entry with some substance has been a bit tough.  So i figure posting a photoblog might do the trick for now.  If there is anything worth writing about though, you can be sure I will update it here. So i hope to post up some photos soon of stuff i am working on, and just my general photography interests and experiments. Feel free to leave comments and constructive critisism, as it helps me more or less know what works and what doesn’t.

Anyway, I truly do hope to have the Summer line up soon.  I will be sure to post when I do.  I have most of the pieces photographed, i just need to get them up on the site.  When i do you will be the first to know :)
