as someone who considers themself a modern and fresh photographer, i am always researching the latest trends not only in the wedding industry, but the fashion industry as well, in order to bring a contemporary and stylish look to my images. in my internet travels, I have come across many wedding sites set up to offer insipration to brides (and grooms) during the oh-so-chaotic time of wedding planning. the sites listed below are the cream of the crop. should you visit and leave a note on a blog or such, please let them know that I referred you to their site. i hope these sites may make your wedding planning a little easier and truly inspired :)

Southern Weddings Daily Blog is my favorite wedding site to visit thus far, their new site is just lovely and they have beautiful images to get your creative juices flowing. Though they do mainly cater to weddings in the south their website is abundent with ways to make your wedding a truly beautiful and unique event.

Once Wed blog feature more than just wedding dresses, they have many beautiful images on their site and lovely DIY ideas for favors and decor for your wedding. A lovely site to visit for inspiration and ideas.

The Bride’s Cafe is the perfect stop for the edgy, spohisticated and romantic bride…chock full of beautiful imagery and ideas this site is a great place to browse while searching for ideas and inspiration for your wedding day!

Excatly what the name implies, Offbeat Bride caters to those who are looking past the traditional look and formalities for their wedding day and for something a bit out of the ordinary. A fun site to visit with lots of interesting and well…offbeat ideas :)

I recently discovered this site and loved their ideas not only for wedding planning but general event planning as well. Swanky Tables has some great ideas on how to come up with interesting table decor at your special event and really wow your guests!

Another gem i recently discovered is Pearls Events Blog. A beautiful site full of classic and trendy ideas for your wedding day :)
Coming soon i will be setting up more links to local and national vendors and posting about local vendors whom i have worked with and recommend for your Capital District wedding. Hope all is well with you out there and that it is not too cold where you are. Happy planning!!!
P.S. – A HUGE conratulations to my friends who are recently engaged…Brian & Kelly and Karl and Sara :)

.better eat your veggies!.
ok, so i know one day my son is going to hate me for this, but I just couldn’t resist. my kids had a great halloween, my daughter though not dressed up in the images below, was a princess riding a unicorn, my son a piece of broccoli and my husband ended up looking like a farmer, not intentionally, but when you are holding some broccoli it just turns out that way :) We took my daugher trick-or-treating for the first time and gathered up a huge pile of leaves to play in. Hope you all had a fun Halloween…i have more to post tomorrow including some resources for brides, more weddings and engagement shoots….have a great weekend!

this shot cracked me up…i lost track of who was trying to eat who or who what trying to eat what, all i know is that my son looks awful worried in that first shot!…my little man’s hundry face makes me smile :)
