.my sister in winter – albany/saratoga portrait photography.
.this past summer i did a portrait session for my sister, she came over the other day and wanted to do a winter shoot, however we had about 10 minutes of available light left….so, she hurried got into an outfit and we ran outside for a super quick shoot. i didn’t have too much time to get to creative, but this is what we came up with in ten minutes with very little light :) i figured i would post these right away to try and kepp things fresh around here but i’ve got some more engagement shoots and wedding from last season on the way as well as an ongoing series for the blog…so stay tuned!

.goodbye dear friend.

.today has been a very sad day. my sweet cat Miss Kitty, also know as Pachu. Mrs. Chu, Double Chu…got very sick this week and this morning we had to put her down. it’s amazing how much i miss her already. she was with me for 10 years and we had some great adventures together. she wasn’t the typical cat in that she never liked to be held, she wouldnt sit on your lap, nor was she very sociable, but she had her own way of showing affection – she always knew if I was sick or sad and would always come to comfort me in her own way. she used to love to attack my hair and wait for my husband to come out of the shower in the morning and meow like crazy until he would give her some food. she loved getting “the treatment” where we would rub her down with pets and kisses. she was with me through heartbreaks and true love, moved with me to Nashville and back, and was around for the birth of my babies. i know that we made the right decision this morning, but I think right now the thing that saddens me the most is that we are in the midst of selling our home – and this is where she will be when we move – I can’t bring her with me anymore, there will be no more adventures together. she was a dear friend and i will miss her very much.
